After that you will reach the Natioanl Park Jaragua (the biggest and the wildest of Dominican Republic).You will navigate along isolated white sand beaches and visit several authentic fishermen villages. You will sleep on the Beata island and the playa de Las Aguilas, the nicest beach of Dominican Republic.
You will enjoy fishing and snorkeling activities, explore underwater world full of coral reef and multicolor fishes. You can also get a tan on the beach and observe pelicans, eagles and red flamingos.

Day 2 - Mundazo - Cachote - Difficulty : ***
Level 1200 m (going up and down) - Walking time 7h.
Walk up to the top of Ultima Razon (1450m) across the rain forest. Tropical birds watching (parrot, papagayo). Trek down hill until the gorges of the Bahoruco river. Diner and camp at the ecological center of Cachote.
Day 3 - Cachote - Bahoruco - Difficulty : **
Level 1200 m (going down) - Walking time 6h.
Trek down hill to the river of Bahoruco. Lunch next to the river. Walk until the village of Bahoruco.
Transfer by minibus from Bahoruco to La Cianaga. Diner and night at the hotel Coral Sol.

This eco adventure of 7 days (6 nighs) will bring you first inside the wild forest of the Sierra de Bahoruco, with its great variety of flora and fauna..
You will camp next to a natural river swimming pool in Cachon, in a coffee plantation in Mundazo and in the cloud forest of the National park of Cachote.

Day 1 - Cachon - Mundazo - Difficulty : * - Level 400 m (going up) - Walking time 4h.
Trek from Cachon to the isolated village of La Guazara. Dry forest, humming birds watching. Lunch next to the river. Meeting with the community of the village. Trek to Mundazo. Diner and camp.

Day 4 - Laguna Oviedo - Jaragua Park - Walking time 2h.
Transfer by minibus from la Cienaga to Laguna Oviedo. Boat trip on the lagoon, lunch on the iguanas island. Camp in the middle of the Jaragua park.
Day 5 - Jaragua park - Isla Beata - Walking time 4h.
Walk from the camp site to the Playa Seco, boat trip to the Beata island, meeting with the fishermen community, farniente, snorkelling. Camp on the island.
Day 6 - Isla Beata - Bahia de las Aguilas.
Boat trip to Playa Blanca, lunch at Bucan de Tui (natural spring water), boat tour in Bahia de las Aguilas, visit of lovely fishermen villages, swim, snorkelling. Camp on beach of las Aguilas.
Day 7 - Las Aguilas - Barahona
Morning free (swim, snorkelling), lunch on the beach of Las Aguilas, boat trip to Cabo Rojo. Transfer by minibus to Barahona (arrival at 7h p.m).
